Scrollible Privacy Policy

Scrollible is a Bible reading app. It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no advertising. This page says what the app sends us, why, and how to stop it.
What the app collects
Usage statistics. As you use the app it notes things like which verses you read, save, share or read again, how long a session lasts, which settings you change, and whether you finished the tutorial. Each note carries a random install identifier that the app made up when it was first opened. That identifier is not your name, email, phone number, device serial, advertising identifier, or anything else that points at you, and we never combine it with data from other companies. We use these statistics to see which verses and features matter and to make the app better. You can turn them off at any time in Settings › Privacy › Usage data.
Crash and diagnostic reports. If the app crashes, freezes, or is closed by the system unexpectedly, the next time it opens it sends us a report: the device model, iOS version, app version, whether Low Power Mode was on, a technical trace of where the app was, and a short log of what the app was doing beforehand (for example "opened Genesis 1:3", "download finished"). This log never contains anything you typed. These reports are sent even when usage statistics are off, because they are how we find and fix problems.
Reports you send us. If you report a verse or send a bug report from the app, we receive the text you wrote and, for a verse report, which verse it was about. Please don't put personal details in a report unless you want us to have them.
Server logs. The pictures, audio and chapter text are downloaded from our servers. Like every web server, ours keep short-lived technical logs (your IP address, the time, what was requested) for operation and security. They are not used to profile you.
What stays on your device
Your preferences, reading progress, saved verses, downloaded pictures and audio, and the daily-reminder setting live on your phone. Deleting the app removes them. If you turn on a daily reminder, the notification is scheduled by iOS on the device; nothing about it is sent to us. If you save a reel as a video, it is written to your camera roll only when you ask; the app does not read your photos.
Shared verse links
A verse you share from the app is a link such as scrollible.app/v/john-3-16. Opening it loads a web page that asks our servers for that one verse (its words, picture, voice and timing), plays it, and then shows links to the app stores. The page sets no cookies, stores nothing on the visitor's device, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from other companies. Our servers log those requests like any others (see Server logs above).
Who else sees the data
Nobody, apart from the companies that host our servers and files (Vercel and Cloudflare), which process it on our behalf. We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use analytics or advertising SDKs from other companies.
How long we keep it
Usage statistics and crash reports are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted or reduced to totals that cannot be tied to an install. Reports you send are kept until the problem is resolved.
Your choices
- Turn usage statistics off in Settings › Privacy › Usage data.
- Delete the app to remove everything stored on the device.
- To have the data tied to your install identifier deleted from our servers, email mgiedzinski@gmail.com and quote the identifier shown under Settings › Privacy. We will delete it within 30 days.
Children
Scrollible is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
The illustrations and the text
The illustrations are generated with AI tools from our own descriptions of each verse and reviewed by us. They are artistic interpretations, not historical records. The Bible text is the King James Version or the Berean Standard Bible, whichever you choose in Settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is shown here and in the app with a new effective date.
